Who I am

I am Irena Piertrasik, trading as Taste The Sweets Cake Atelier, making handmade desserts in Doncaster. You can contact me at tastethesweets89@gmail.com or on 07400 209686.

What I collect

I collect the details you type into the enquiry form: your name, your phone number or email, the occasion, the date you need it, what you would like, the number of guests, your ideas, any allergies or dietary needs, and how you found me. I also keep anything you send me by phone, WhatsApp, email or Facebook.

Why I use it, and my lawful basis

I use your details to reply to your enquiry and to take your order. That is taking steps at your request before a contract. Allergy and dietary details are health information, which the law treats as special category data. I only use them if you give your explicit consent by ticking the box on the enquiry form (UK GDPR Article 9(2)(a)), and only to make your order safely. You can withdraw your consent at any time by messaging me. I will then delete those details, but I may not be able to make an order that depends on them.

Where it is stored

The website is hosted by Netlify, which also stores the enquiry form submissions. When someone sends the form, a notification email goes to my Gmail inbox, which is provided by Google. Messages sent by WhatsApp, Facebook, email or phone stay with those services and on my phone.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted after 6 months. Order records are kept for 6 years, because I need them for tax.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, to have them corrected or deleted, to restrict how I use them, to object to my using them, to get a copy of the details you gave me in a format you can reuse (data portability), or to withdraw your consent at any time. If you are not happy with how I have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and loads no tracking or advertising tools. Links to Facebook and WhatsApp take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
